We specialize in guiding companies toward a sustainable future through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies.

We are also developing our own carbon removal projects based on biochar.

Consulting

We are committed to driving positive change and helping businesses thrive sustainably.

Our expertise includes offsetting emissions and assisting companies in developing, implementing, and executing their offsetting strategies. This includes purchasing carbon credits and managing your carbon credit portfolio.

We ensure these offsets meet rigorous standards, contributing to genuine emissions reductions. Our team helps you select carbon credits aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative criteria.

Beyond carbon offsetting, we support clients in financing climate protection projects within their own supply chains. These projects demonstrably reduce or sequester emissions while positively impacting the communities, landscapes, and ecosystems along the supply chain (“insetting”).

Additionally, we offer services to enhance ESG performance, such as assessments, sustainability reports, and green supply chain practices.

Our approach is tailored to each client's needs, whether a multinational corporation or a small business.

Project Development

We are passionate about developing projects that deliver groundbreaking solutions.

We will remove up to 0.5 gigatons of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2050 through a circular economy model based on production and application of biochar. We combine sustainable agriculture with a significant carbon reduction effect. Biochar is explicitly highlighted as key carbon removal technology with several co-benefits to fight climate change by IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – a body of the UN) and UNFCCC.

Biochar is produced by thermal carbonization (“Pyrolysis”). Its porous structure and internal surface area enable it to store water and nutrients and bind pollutants. In addition, a significant amount of the carbon of the source material remains stable the long term, effectively removing CO2 from the atmosphere.

The first module of the scalable business is planned at two sites in Costa Rica. We have secured an annual amount of  more than 60,000 tons wood residue as input material for the pyrolysis process. Furthermore, we can access a multiple of tons per year from the coffee, pineapple, and sugarcane industry.

Carbon credits can be created, issued, and traded with the permanent fixation of the carbon in the soil. In addition, there are numerous applications for biochar in markets inside and outside agriculture that make processes and products more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The company's impact is manifold. In collaboration with local farmers, we significantly contribute to the fight against climate change while ensuring the production of high-quality food. We secure living spaces and create additional jobs.

Collaborations

We are eager to explore collaboration opportunities that foster sustainable change.

In an exciting collaboration, CarboHeroes, coffee roaster 19grams, and the environmental organisation Humedales Lagunas Lancaster have joined forces to make a substantial impact on jaguar conservation in Costa Rica. By launching two exclusive coffee varieties, this partnership promises to delight coffee enthusiasts while championing nature conservation. Proceeds from these unique coffee sales directly fund the regeneration and expansion of a crucial nature reserve in Costa Rica, supporting the protection and preservation of these magnificent creatures amongst other wildlife.
